The Ravens had a 10-point lead, a defense that disrupted Cleveland’s offense, and a chance to strengthen their hold on the AFC North. They left with a loss that exposed how little margin Baltimore has when its offense stalls.
Andre Szmyt kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired Sunday, giving the Browns a 13-10 win at Huntington Bank Field. Baltimore fell to 4-2 after surrendering 13 unanswered points, while Cleveland matched the record and took the head-to-head advantage.
Tyler Huntley completed 19 of 31 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown, but the Ravens never scored again after their first two possessions. Baltimore finished with 235 total yards, 13 first downs and seven punts.
Huntley directed an 11-play, 66-yard touchdown drive to open the game, finding tight end Josh Cuevas for the score. Tyler Loop added a 34-yard field goal on Baltimore’s next possession, giving the Ravens a 10-0 first-quarter advantage.
The separation never grew.
Derrick Henry rushed for 58 yards on 17 carries, and his fourth-quarter fumble gave Cleveland possession at Baltimore’s 35-yard line. The Browns capitalized with a seven-play touchdown drive, capped by Audric Estime’s 2-yard run that tied the game with 8:33 remaining.
Both teams squandered kicking opportunities. Loop missed a fourth-quarter field goal, and Szmyt missed from 48 yards with 3:40 left. Baltimore responded with another three-and-out, giving Cleveland the ball back for the decisive possession. Deshaun Watson then guided a 10-play, 62-yard drive to set up the winner. Jerry Jeudy finished with four catches for 69 yards, including a 33-yard reception.
The loss overshadowed a strong defensive performance. Baltimore sacked Watson five times and allowed 237 total yards. Kyle Hamilton recorded seven solo tackles and three tackles for loss, while Jaylinn Hawkins led the Ravens with eight tackles. Zay Flowers caught six passes for 66 yards. Cuevas added four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown, and Ja’Kobi Lane contributed four catches for 40 yards.
Stanley’s late exit added another concern. With Cincinnati next, Baltimore needs answers on offense and an update on its starting left tackle after letting a divisional victory slip away Sunday.
