STEELERS TRANSACTIONS
The Steelers released veteran safety Rayshawn Jenkins, activated safety DeShon Elliott from the injured reserve list, placed defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day on injured reserve and elevated wide receivers Brandon Johnson and Brandon Smith from the practice squad.
The Steelers also signed wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad.

THE LAST TIME
The Pittsburgh Steelers got two second-half interceptions and made a fourth-down stop, dominating the turnover battle in a 20-10 win over the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 13, 2022.
Damontae Kazee made his Steelers debut with an interception of Andy Dalton, Robert Spillane made a fourth-down stop on a Dalton sneak and then Levi Wallace ripped the ball away from a New Orleans receiver for three second-half takeaways to help secure the team’s first victory in three games.
The Steelers never trailed in the game, with rookie wide receiver George Pickens scoring on a 1-yard run in the first quarter and newly signed kicker Matthew Wright adding a first-half field goal.
The Saints charged back with a Will Lutz field goal, and then Dalton connected with tight end Juwan Johnson on New Orleans’ final drive of the first half to tie the game. Johnson got loose in coverage behind inside linebacker Spillane, who started and played nearly the entire game despite Myles Jack being cleared from his knee injury and dressing in the game.
The Steelers moved the ball well enough through the game despite an inefficient afternoon from rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett. He finished 18 of 30 for 199 yards. The Steelers had four drives stall in field goal range, but Wright made only two of his four attempts, hooking the other two left.
STEELERS-SAINTS ALL-TIME SERIES
The Steelers and Buccaneers have met only 17 times since the Saints joined the league in 1966, and the Saints lead the series, 9-8. New Orleans has won three of the last five, dating back to 2006.
The Steelers are 4-3 in games played in Pittsburgh, winning two of the three played at Acrisure Stadium, 2-1 at Three Rivers Stadium and losing one game played at Pitt Stadium.
The Steelers are 4-6 in games played in New Orleans, with a 2-2 record at Tulane Stadium and a 2-4 record at the Superdome.
This is technically a home game for the Saints, but will be the first game played between the teams a neutral site.
STEELERS-SAINTS CONNECTIONS
Undrafted rookie running back CJ Donaldson played at West Virginia from 2022-24, and made his NCAA debut at Acrisure Stadium for the Mountaineers against Pitt in 2022.
Tight end Juwan Johnson played at Penn State from 2015-19, and then spent one season at Oregon before the Saints signed him as a UDFA in 2020.
Saints cornerbacks coach Grady Brown held the same position with the Steelers from 2021-24. Saints tight ends coach Chase Haslett is the son of former Steelers defensive coordinator Jim Haslett and is an IUP alum.
