Alvaro Arbeloa insists he is confident he has the backing of his players ahead of Fulham’s huge game against Hull City.
The Fulham boss has come under pressure following a poor start to the season but pointed to recent displays against Manchester United and Liverpool as evidence that the players are buying into his methods.
“They did for many minutes against Ipswich,” Arbeloa said.
“We did against Manchester United and we did against Liverpool [in their 0-0 draw at Anfield].
“For me, we need to try to keep that level for 90 minutes, that is important.”
Arbeloa has also been encouraged by the attitude of his players in training ahead of the game.
“I saw the commitment of the players in how they have been training,” he said.
“They are so focused on tomorrow’s game.”
The Fulham boss also played down questions over his own future, insisting the focus must remain on the club and the players.
“It is not about my future,” Arbeloa said.
“Like I said before, it is about the club and my players.
“They are looking for the reward and looking for a game where they can get a win for the supporters, they deserve it because of their support.
“It is important for all of us.”
