ISTANBUL, October 22. /TASS/. Europe still has time to reconsider its decision to ban Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports from January 1 of the next year, CEO of the Russian gas producer Novatek Leonid Mikhelson said on the sidelines of the Verona Eurasian Forum.
"Brussels nevertheless starts thinking of its production facilities, their energy security. There are still 71 days left for any decisions," Mikhelson said.
European companies having long-term contracts and dealing with logistics under them may continue working with Russia on deliveries to other markets, the chief executive said. "We need to look at that, probably leaving this also in the European market. We do not have any problems: we are solving all these issues, going to a different market," he added.
