Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson has collected two more franchise milestones. With a goal on the power play against the Detroit Red Wings, Pettersson registered his 178th power-play point, passing Alex Edler for eighth all-time in franchise history. The goal also puts him in sole-possession of 10th all-time in power-play goals.
Pettersson has gotten the 2026–27 season off to a hot start, scoring four goals and eight assists. In Vancouver’s 9–7 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on October 1, he claimed sole-possession of ninth all-time in franchise history in goals scored. The game after, a 4–1 win against the Calgary Flames on October 3, Pettersson passed Edler for eighth all-time in assists by a Canuck with his 311th.
Pettersson’s next power-play goal milestone isn’t too far away, as former captain Horvat currently sits at ninth all-time with 67 goals scored on the power play. After him is Pavel Bure, whose 69 power-play goals as a Canuck put him at eighth in franchise history. Also ahead of Pettersson on this list is teammate Brock Boeser, who is currently tied with Todd Bertuzzi for fifth in club history with 79.
In terms of power-play points as a whole, Pettersson is now only four points away from passing Stan Smyl for seventh all-time.
