St. Cloud, Minn.-based CentraCare and St. Cloud State University have partnered to launch a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare System Leadership program beginning in January.
Four things to know:
1. The 33-credit graduate program will combine business fundamentals with healthcare-specific coursework, including healthcare finance, information systems, operations, policy and leadership, according to an Oct. 14 university news release.
2. Designed for working professionals with healthcare experience or related backgrounds, the program will combine asynchronous online learning, hybrid instruction and in-person seminars held approximately twice each semester. Students will also have opportunities to learn from CentraCare leaders at the health system’s facilities.
3. The curriculum will include a seminar series and capstone project focused on healthcare challenges.
4. The first cohort will begin in spring 2027, with classes starting in January. A second cohort is planned for fall 2027, depending on enrollment demand.
