SHAH ALAM: All schools under the Education Ministry in Selangor will operate as usual tomorrow, though outdoor activities have been suspended due to the haze.
The Selangor Education Department said students were advised to wear face masks.
"However, parents who may be worried about the health of their children may opt not to send them to school, provided they inform their respective school administrations.
"School administrations are also advised to continuously monitor the Department of Environment's (DoE) Air Pollutant Index (API) and pay particular attention to students who may be at high risk," the department said in a statement.
Previously, schools in Selangor began closing from Oct 9 due to the haze, with Home-based Teaching and Learning (PdPR) implemented.
Last week, Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek had said her ministry will work with health and environmental authorities to decide on school closures due to the haze, with decisions made collectively based on existing standard operating procedures, air quality assessments and advice from relevant agencies.
