X has introduced The X Subscription, a new unified membership that combines access to Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium under a single plan.
The company announced the change in a post on X, writing:
“We’ve unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium. Introducing The X Subscription.”
The new subscription structure ranges from a free tier to a $200-per-month Ultra plan and is being rolled out globally.
One Subscription Across Grok, Cursor and X
The X Subscription is designed to cover several different use cases through one account.
Grok provides chat, voice, image generation, and video generation, while Grok Bot offers AI agents designed to carry out tasks.
Cursor provides local and cloud-based coding agents, while X Premium benefits can include a verification checkmark, creator tools, and reduced advertising depending on the selected tier. Higher plans can remove ads from the timeline entirely.

X Subscription Prices
The new lineup includes five tiers:
| Plan | Monthly Price | Included Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Limited |
| Plus | $8 | Base |
| Premium | $30 | 4x Plus |
| Super | $100 | 15x Plus |
| Ultra | $200 | 50x Plus |
The Premium plan at $30 per month includes benefits previously associated with SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+, which the company says previously cost around $90 per month combined.
Grok and Cursor Share the Same Usage Pool
One of the biggest changes is that Grok and Cursor now draw from the same included AI usage pool.
That means users can spend more of their allowance on Grok or Cursor depending on what they actually use. Unused allocation in one product remains available for the other.
The usage allowance refreshes weekly rather than monthly.
More Coding Usage Included
The company says each X Subscription plan includes at least twice as much coding usage with its own models as the comparable previous Cursor plan.
Third-party models such as Claude and GPT remain available in Cursor on Premium and higher plans, but their usage is not included in the shared subscription allowance.
Instead, third-party model usage is billed separately through top-ups.
Existing Subscribers Do Not Have to Switch Immediately
Current SuperGrok, Cursor, and X Premium customers can continue using their existing subscriptions, pricing, and features for now. Switching to The X Subscription is optional.
When the option becomes available in account billing settings, existing subscribers can move to one of the new plans. If they switch, unused time on their existing subscription can receive a prorated refund.
The company says remaining customers may eventually be migrated to the new system, but there is currently no timeline for a mandatory transition.
Team and Enterprise Plans Are Included
The unified model also extends to businesses. Team customers can choose Premium, Super, or Ultra at the same per-seat prices as individual subscriptions.
Team plans additionally include features such as SSO, administrative controls, consolidated billing, usage analytics, and SOC 2 compliance.
Enterprise customers can manage Grok and Cursor through one dashboard and use a shared usage pool across both products.
Rollout Has Started
New customers can already subscribe to The X Subscription, while the migration option is gradually appearing for existing Grok, Cursor, and X Premium users.
The broader goal is to replace several separate subscriptions with one plan covering AI chat, coding, agents, and X’s paid platform features.
