High school volleyball has kicked it up a notch in Alabama with the AHSAA volleyball area tournaments finally here.
AHSAA area tournaments can start on Monday, Oct. 12 and must end by Friday, Oct. 16. Classes 1A-5A default for Oct. 13-14 while Class 6A and the two private school classes default to Oct. 15-16. From there, Classes 1A-5A will play in the new subregional round ahead of the regional tournament.
The regional tournaments take place Oct. 21-23 in Montgomery and Hoover ahead of the AHSAA state tournament. State begins Oct. 27 with Classes 1A, 6A and the private schools before those divisions play championship matches on the 28th. Classes 2A-5A start Oct. 28 and end Oct. 29 with state title matches.
But first, it all starts with area tournaments. Check back throughout the week for final scores from AHSAA area tournaments across Alabama.
