The Sindh government has ordered an investigation into alleged irregularities in the Hyderabad Board’s Intermediate Part-II results following complaints and reports circulating on social media.
The government has suspended Ejaz Ali Kaka, Deputy Controller of the Top Secret Branch, and formed a three-member committee to investigate the matter. Secretary of Universities and Boards Abbas Baloch issued the formal notification after approval from provincial minister Muhammad Ismail Rahoo.
The committee will be headed by Professor Dr. Arbeela Bhutto, with Additional Secretary Ameer Fazal Owaisi and Dr. Nasrullah Pirzada serving as members.
According to the provincial minister’s spokesperson, the committee will examine the Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering results, including records of position holders, the top 10 candidates, and students who secured A-1 and A grades.
The investigation will review possible irregularities in result preparation, answer-sheet checking, tabulation, and the announcement process to establish the facts and identify those responsible.
The suspended officer has been directed to cooperate with the relevant authorities and the inquiry committee until the investigation concludes. The committee must submit its report and recommendations to Rahoo within 30 days.
