Vanderbilt basketball fell to Miami 109-96 in its final exhibition of the preseason at Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida.
The Commodores got behind early and narrowed the deficit a few times but never took the lead. Tyler Tanner had an off night, scoring 10 points on just 3-for-10 shooting. But Vanderbilt still put up strong scoring numbers with a better free-throw percentage than in its exhibition against UAB. The defense played poorly, allowing Miami to get what it wanted.
Ace Glass (19 points) and Chandler Bing (18 points) led the Commodores' scorers.
Vanderbilt opens its 2026-27 season against Bellarmine on Nov. 2 (6 p.m. CT, SEC Network+).
