NFL Fantasy Football Week 7 2026 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Kicker appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Week 7 asks fantasy managers to look past the name on the jersey and focus on the matchup. Some of the kickers below have been accurate but short on chances. Others have kicked well from long range, and the defenses they face have given up a lot of fantasy points or very few.
Here is Week 7’s Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Kickers:
Week 7 Start ‘Em
Ryan Fitzgerald, Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Fitzgerald doesn’t need name recognition when his numbers do the talking. He is 11-for-11 on field goals, including two makes from 50-plus yards, and hit from 47 and 52 yards against Philadelphia last week. Tampa Bay has allowed 12.8 fantasy points per game to kickers, the league’s second-highest average. That’s an inviting combination of accuracy and opportunity. There is a blemish: four missed extra points. Still, his flawless field-goal record makes him an appealing streamer rather than someone to overlook on waivers.
Matt Gay, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Rams
Let Gay turn stalled drives into your advantage. He has converted 14 of 15 field goals and all 14 extra points, including three field goals and three PATs against Buffalo. The Rams just surrendered six field goals to Chad Ryland while keeping Arizona out of the end zone entirely. They’re allowing 10.2 fantasy points per game to kickers, eighth-most. Six attempts aren’t a reasonable expectation, but this matchup offers a persuasive path to multiple chances. Start Gay for volume, not a repeat of Ryland’s outlier.
Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints (Paris)
Boswell’s attraction is workload, not spotless accuracy. He attempted five field goals against Tampa Bay, converting four, including bombs from 52 and 58 yards. His season ledger is 13-for-17, with four makes on six attempts from 50-plus. New Orleans has yielded 9.7 fantasy points per game to kickers, the 10th-most. That supports another useful outing without requiring another monster performance. The misses create risk, but demonstrated attempts and long-range upside make him a worthwhile start. Remember the early kickoff when setting your lineup.
Week 7 Sit ‘Em
Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks
A familiar offense shouldn’t make this an automatic lineup decision. Butker is only 10-for-13 on field goals, and his 1-for-4 record from 50–59 yards undermines his distance-bonus appeal. Last week’s three field goals also came with a missed field goal and extra point. Seattle has allowed just 7.2 fantasy points per game to kickers, below the 8.7 league average. That isn’t an impossible matchup, but it offers little cushion for more misses. Prefer a comparable streamer with a friendlier setup.
Andy Borregales, New England Patriots at Chicago Bears
Don’t chase last week’s respectable return without checking the next opponent. Borregales made two field goals against the Jets, but neither exceeded 32 yards; he also missed an extra point. Through six games, he is 8-for-10 on field goals, with only one make from 50-plus yards. Chicago has conceded only 4.8 fantasy points per game to kickers, second-fewest. Limited distance production and a stingy positional matchup are an uncomfortable pairing. He’s a sit despite New England’s recent offensive success.
Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys
Perfect accuracy cannot manufacture attempts. Elliott is 5-for-5 on field goals, but he has attempted multiple field goals just once in six games and had none against Carolina. Dallas does offer a favorable matchup, allowing 9.8 fantasy points per game to kickers. The problem is trusting Philadelphia to exploit it: Elliott’s Week 6 contribution consisted of two extra points.
