Every season, fans get their tissues ready for “Dedication Night” on Dancing With the Stars—but this year, the episode is especially emotional. From Julia Stiles and Ezra Sousa’s tribute to her late costar Heath Ledger to Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik’s dance for her late costar James Avery (featuring a special guest performance from Alfonso Ribeiro!), everyone anticipated a pretty touching evening…and yet somehow, Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess still stole the show by announcing that Tyler and his fiancée Tate Madden are expecting their first baby.
The Bachelor Nation alum paid homage to mothers during his contemporary routine (specifically Tyler’s late mother Andrea, who passed away after a sudden brain aneurysm in 2020), and Tate revealed her pregnancy at the end of the dance, sharing a special moment with Tyler. On top of that, they revealed they’re having a girl!
You can watch the full dance right here:
Fans first had their suspicions about Tate possibly being pregnant ahead of his performance, when Tyler first revealed that Tate would be joining him on the dance floor.
“It’s gonna be a special moment I get to share with you guys, and with my fiancée,” he said in the clip shared on October 17. “This is for the moms out there, not just my mom, but for the moms that we love and also the moms that we miss.”
Because he claimed the dance was for all moms, fans started speculating that Tyler and Tate could potentially be expecting—especially since he happened to gently graze her belly in the same video.

What’s more: Sharna penned a lengthy, emotional post thanking Tyler for his vulnerability and for having her be part of such a special moment. Whether she knew it or not, her tribute created more buzz about the rumor, since she also addressed her new temporary dance partner, Tate.
“Dear Tyler and Tate, There’s almost so many things to say that I’m lost on which to choose. I’ll start with thank you for trusting me, for putting this story, your story, in my hands and being all in. What an honor it is to create for and with the two of you,” she wrote, in part, adding that sometimes, a dance “is meant to heal something, to finish something…to transform a feeling into something new.” Hmm…
“We will share those feelings out loud with our bodies and I just know in my heart she is with you every step of the way, not just tonight but every moment of your life,” she added of Tyler’s late mom. “A mother’s love lasts to her last breath and beyond, it transcends lifetimes and will be with you forever. She is never gone, she is always here in the background, guiding you and lifting you in the ways she can. Just like she guided you to the love of your life in Tate.”
Congrats to the happy couple!
