What's the saying? Inspiration is everywhere? These days major fashion inspiration might just come to you while sitting in front of the TV at 8pm tuned in to the BBC. Fashion no longer exists in its own sphere; we're taking notice not only in the shows we watch but also in what the characters and presenters are wearing (and inevitably, searching for the pieces ourselves). The ultimate piece of proof? The TV phenomenon that is The Traitors and its star-studded spinoff, The Celebrity Traitors. Winkleman's styling has become a not insignificant part of the show, with viewers (including myself) searching for the exact coats, skirts, boots, and knitwear she wears while presiding over the castle.
And, it's the latter I'm most interested in, as Winkleman (with the help of celebrity stylist Sinead McKeefry) is very good at nailing knitwear that ticks three very niche boxes: warm, substantial enough for the Scottish Highlands and with enough character to warrant being worn on repeat.
As a huge fan of the show (and someone who's responsible for tracking down her outfits from every single episode), a couple of particular favourites include; Kapital's green cable knit with smiley faces on the elbows from The Traitors season two, a cream boucle Isabel Marant jumper from The Celebrity Traitors season one, and a grey Fair Isle Brora number from The Traitors season three.
You don't need to wait until the next The Traitors season to get the look either (although we will be updating this piece regularly with knitwear from the new season). Here, I've rounded up the exact knitwear Claudia Winkleman has worn on The Traitors, alongside the alternative jumpers worth knowing about if you're looking to recreate her delightfully eccentric outfits.
