The Sacramento Kings were hoping to get off to a healthy start in the 2026-27 regular-season, but that won't be the case.
Kings guard Malik Monk will not play in the season-opener against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Monk is ruled out with left ankle soreness. He was listed as questionable but has been downgraded in the moments leading up to the game against the Clippers.
Monk averaged 12.5 points on 43.8% field goal shooting for the Kings last season appearing in 62 games.
