Caleb Williams returned in dominant fashion as he led the Chicago Bears to a 31-23 road win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon.
Williams is going through the third season of his NFL career with the Bears. He made his way up the ranks to become one of the best quarterbacks in the league, making the Divisional Round of the playoffs last year.
Willams suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2, missing a couple of games. He returned this week in time for the Falcons clash, and he didn’t miss a beat.

Williams excelled with his performance leading the offense against Atlanta’s defense. He completed 30 out of 36 passes for 305 yards and a touchdown. His efforts allowed him to have the sixth 300-yard game of his career, making franchise history in the process, per reporter Courtney Cronin.
“Caleb Williams had his 6th career 300-yard passing game, breaking a tie with Mitchell Trubisky for the most such games by a Bears player before turning 25,” Cronin wrote.
How Caleb Williams, Bears played against Falcons
Caleb Williams is back, and the Bears greatly benefitted from his performance to beat the Falcons on the road.
Chicago controlled the momentum for most of the day. They outmatched Atlanta 21-7 in the first half with multiple touchdowns from D’Andre Swift. The Falcons attempted a rally with 16 points, but Chicago made enough plays to deny the comeback and secure the road win.

Roschon Johnson came next with 13 rushes for 51 yards and a touchdown while making two receptions for 34 yards. Luther Burden III led receivers with eight catches for 95 yards, while Colston Loveland caught six passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.
The Bears will look forward to their next matchup, being at home. They host the New England Patriots in Week 7 as kickoff commences on Oct. 22 at 8:15 p.m. ET.
