Mzansi's entertainment world is buzzing after a video emerged showing popular dancer Rush Mabanana in handcuffs in Australia.
The former dancer for award-winning Limpopo musician Makhadzi was arrested over the weekend of 18 October 2026, after allegedly swearing at police while heavily intoxicated.
Mabanana built his name as a dancer alongside Makhadzi, one of Limpopo's biggest musical exports, as well as performing with Limpopo Boy, who recently scored a nomination for an award.
The entertainer had been making moves internationally, travelling to Australia specifically to teach dance and take on gigs. By most accounts, his overseas stint had been going well before this incident.
Celebrity blog Maphepha Ndaba shared the clip on Instagram, alleging that Mabanana's behaviour towards the officers left them with no choice but to take him into custody. The video quickly made its rounds across South African social media, with many reacting with a mix of shock and amusement.
