Bryan Hill, the county executive of Fairfax County, Va., addressing a county police officer who had pulled Hill’s car over because it didn’t have a front license plate mounted to the vehicle, in an exchange captured by the officer’s body camera video. Countering Hill’s assertion that the officer was disrespectful, County Police Chief Kevin Davis said in an email that he had reviewed the camera footage and that the officer “was 100% professional, cordial, and polite.” Hill later issued a statement saying that “nothing in our conversation was intended to influence how the officer carried out his responsibilities” and also commending the officer’s professionalism.
