It was early in the third period, with Ottawa trailing Florida 3–1, when Linus Ullmark was forced to leave the ice with an injury, according to nhl.com. It is unclear how serious the injury is, but his Swedish teammate Samuel Ersson took over in goal for the rest of the game.
Ersson had a relatively quiet start, facing just one shot during the period.
Ottawa ultimately won the game 5–1, the team’s largest margin of victory so far this NHL season.
