Brazil Events Calendar: Carnival, Réveillon and Festivals

BRAZIL · EVENTS CALENDAR 2026-27

Brazil’s biggest dated events from November 2026 to October 2027 start with the São Paulo Grand Prix on 8 November, run through Réveillon in Copacabana on 31 December and Carnival from 6 to 9 February, and end with the Círio de Nazaré, expected on 10 October 2027. This calendar lists each event with its date, city and a link to our guide, using dates published by the organiser, the city or the official ticket seller, and flagging the ones that follow a tradition.

Brazil holds the largest concert, sport and street-party calendar in Latin America, and most major dates open for tickets months ahead. The list below links every item to a Rio Times guide where one exists.

Visitors from the United States need an e-visa approved before travel, and the State Department rates Brazil Level 2, Exercise Increased Caution. For safety context see our ranking of the safest cities in Brazil.

Three large events lack a Rio Times guide today, and our daily event packages will cover them next. Lollapalooza Brasil on 19 to 21 March 2027, the Parintins folklore festival in late June 2027 and the São João festivals of Caruaru and Campina Grande are the most important gaps.

• Festival de Parintins 2027: the 2026 edition ran from 26 to 28 June, and the 2027 dates are to be confirmed.
• São João 2027 in Caruaru and Campina Grande: official programmes are normally published a few months ahead.

What Is Not Known

Organisers can change dates, and several 2027 programmes, including the Rio street-bloco list and the São João line-ups, were not published on 19 October 2026. We update this calendar when a date is confirmed by an organiser, a city or an official ticket seller.
