Baidu will hold its annual Baidu World conference on November 12 at the China National Convention Center Phase II in Beijing, the company announced on October 12. Ticket sales have opened on the event's official website, IT Home reported.
This year's theme is "Next Act, Intelligent Organization." Baidu framed it as a callback to Baidu World 2016, where founder Robin Li said that the next act of the internet would be artificial intelligence. Ten years on, the company says the conference will turn its attention to how AI is reshaping the way organizations themselves are built and run.
Baidu has not yet disclosed which products it plans to launch. Its official preview promises a number of major announcements, with high-profile guests and enterprise AI products, along with 12 sub-forums on the intelligent organization theme, more than 30 open classes sharing hands-on AI technical experience, and a 6,000-square-meter exhibition area designed as an AI marketplace for visitors.
The emphasis on enterprise products and organizational change suggests the event will lean toward business customers rather than consumer gadgets, though the program has not been published in detail. Baidu typically uses the conference to introduce new versions of its ERNIE models and AI applications, along with updates on its cloud and autonomous driving businesses.
The theme also echoes the message Robin Li delivered at last year's conference, where he argued that AI only creates value once it is internalized into everyday work and turned into productivity rather than treated as a standalone feature.
The date places Baidu's event in a busy autumn for Chinese AI companies, many of which are pushing agents into office software and enterprise workflows. Pandaily will cover announcements from the conference as they are made.
