Kharge's Modi Remark Sparks Political Storm | Amit Shah Leads BJP Attack, Demands Apology
A massive political storm has erupted after controversial remarks were made targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public address in Patna. The incident occurred when an attendee in the audience stated that the Prime Minister would not be unseated, eliciting a sharp and provocative retort suggesting even his father would be ousted. The Bharatiya Janata Party mounted a fierce counter-offensive, with senior leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah condemning the statements. BJP leaders accused the Congress leadership of breaching all standards of political decorum, alleging that the opposition has resorted to indecent attacks out of frustration following repeated electoral setbacks. They demanded an unreserved apology, describing the rhetoric as reflective of a culture of abuse. The controversy has also reignited political scrutiny over past instances of derogatory remarks made against the Prime Minister and his background, with commentators pointing out that such personal targeting has historically backfired on the opposition.
