Islamabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions at several locations along the Srinagar Highway and Express Highway due to the movement of cricket teams.
According to a traffic advisory issued by Islamabad Police, diversions will be implemented at different points on Srinagar Highway between Serena Chowk and Ninth Avenue.
Motorists traveling on Srinagar Highway have been advised to use Suhrawardy Road and the service roads in G-8 and G-9. Traffic heading toward Zero Point and Faizabad should use Faisal Avenue, while motorists on Ninth Avenue should take Service Road East.
Citizens traveling from Koral toward Islamabad have been advised to use the Old Airport route, Rawal Road, Rawalpindi Murree Road, and I.J.P. Road to reach Faqir Aipee Road.
In case of closures on Koral Express Highway, Murree Road, or Club Road, motorists can use Lehtrar Road and Park Road as alternative routes.
Meanwhile, people traveling out of Islamabad have been advised to use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road. Those entering the capital from Bhara Kahu should travel via Bani Gala and Park Road.
Police warned that traffic congestion could increase on major roads during the diversions and advised commuters to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys.
Islamabad Traffic Police officers will remain deployed to assist motorists. Citizens have also been advised to follow Islamabad Police’s official social media pages for further traffic updates.
