Antonio Conte is emerging as a potential option for Manchester United, with Michael Carrick under growing pressure after a poor start to the season.
According to La Repubblica, via Il Napolista, United supporters are calling for the former Napoli coach, though the club have yet to make a move. “A change of coach at Old Trafford has not been decided,” the paper writes.
Conte has been without a job since leaving Napoli in the summer after two seasons. He has made no secret of his desire to return to the Premier League, where he won the title with Chelsea and later coached Tottenham.
Carrick under pressure after Tottenham draw as calls for Conte grow
Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham did Carrick no favours. United led through Bryan Mbeumo but conceded a stoppage-time equaliser to Dominic Solanke, against a Spurs side who had been reduced to 10 men and were still without a league win this season.
The result has revived doubts over whether Carrick is the right man, despite him guiding United to Champions League qualification last term.

Conte recently said he would like to take over a club that has “lost sight of its history”, and many linked those comments to both Juventus and United.
