All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer Laxmikanth Rao Thota said that there was no differences of opinion between the Congress and the political parties of India Bloc with regard to the “Vote Chori” issue.
Addressing reporters here on Sunday, Mr Thota said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been raising the issue of vote chori since 2018.
The protest seeking to remove Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has been the unified voice by the India Bloc, he added.
Speaking on the occasion Congress MP Vijay Vasanth said that the demand by traders’ body in Delhi asking Congress to postpone it’s proposed rally in the capital on November 1 to a date after Deepavali looked like it was not the voice of the traders but they were being dictated by someone to make such a statement just few days before the protest.
The protests on vote chori including demand for removal of Gynanesh Kumar will continue till the demands were met.
While the Congress had been raising this issue for long the people and political parties of various States realised about the irregularities in SIR only after it was implemented in five different States where names of lakhs of voters were removed on various grounds.
