Despite optimistic signs that the Baltimore Ravens would get quarterback Lamar Jackson back in action this week for a crucial AFC North showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, the franchise revealed on Saturday that Jackson will miss his third straight game.
Jackson, who reportedly has a sprained ankle from a Week 4 win over the Titans, did not play in the team's win over the Ravens or its loss to the Browns in recent weeks. Now, his team will have to make do in a crucial match-up without him, despite the fact that he took the majority of the first-team reps in practice on Friday.

Tyler Huntley to make third consecutive start for the Ravens
On Friday, Jackson said he was "headed in the right direction" on whether he'd start against the Bengals, giving fans hope they might see him back under center this week. Now, Tyler "Snoop" Huntley will take the starting duties for the third straight game.
Huntley relieved Jackson after his injury against the Titans, helped lead the Ravens to victory, and then led them to a win against the Falcons the next week. Last week against the Browns, he went 19-for-31 for 165 yards and one touchdown, but it wasn't quite enough to help the Ravens win. He's 1-1 as a starter for the Ravens this year, and 6-7 as a starter for the franchise over his career.
