TL;DR: HEX and PulseChain founder Richard Heart was reportedly detained in Istanbul in connection with a Finnish tax investigation. The reported legal proceedings are separate from his earlier US securities dispute, and no conviction is established by the detention.
Richard Heart, the prominent and controversial founder of HEX and PulseChain, has reportedly been detained by Turkish authorities following a request connected to legal proceedings in Finland.
Heart, whose legal name is Richard James Schueler, has faced allegations involving Finnish tax obligations. Reports of the detention emerged in mid-October and attracted immediate interest across the cryptocurrency communities associated with his projects.
The Finnish Case
The allegations concern financial and tax matters rather than the ordinary operation of HEX trading itself.
Reports described an operation in Istanbul, but details about seized property and the current procedural stage should be treated cautiously unless confirmed by authorities.
A detention or international notice does not amount to a finding of guilt. Any extradition or subsequent trial would proceed under applicable legal processes.
The Finnish case is also distinct from Heart’s past dispute with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Uncertainty For HEX Investors
HEX and PulseChain have remained closely associated with their founder’s public profile, and legal developments involving him can affect market sentiment.
That does not mean a token’s price movement can automatically be attributed to one news report. Crypto markets also respond to liquidity, speculative trading and wider market conditions.
The immediate questions concern confirmation of the legal status and any steps taken by the relevant authorities.
For investors, the story is a reminder that projects built around prominent founders can carry personal and legal risks that extend beyond their underlying technology.
