The meeting brought together Gachagua and a delegation from Linda Mwananchi led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.
Discussions centred on the country's political direction, opposition cooperation, and the prospects of forming what Gachagua referred to as the Sixth Administration.
Gachagua speaks on the meeting
Speaking after the engagement, Gachagua said the visit followed his return from the United States and characterised the dialogue as open and productive.
"We held a candid and constructive discussion on the liberation of our country and the formation of the Sixth Administration. Wamunyoro has long been a venue for consequential political consultations and deliberations that have helped shape a brighter future for our great country. Today was such a day," Gachagua said.
Sifuna calls for sustained engagement
Senator Sifuna, who also took to social media following the talks, expressed optimism about the partnership and indicated that the two sides intended to maintain regular contact going forward.
"Ahsante sana @rigathi and Mama Dorcas for inviting the @LindaMwananchi_team to your Wamunyoro residence today. We believe this is a first of many engagements that will foster unity within the opposition as we gear up to the General Elections. Mbele kuzuri," Sifuna wrote.
The Wamunyoro residence has increasingly become a focal point for opposition consultations since Gachagua's removal from the deputy presidency, with several political delegations making the trip to engage the former second-in-command on the way forward for the country.
