The Tampa Bay Rays secured a 7-3 win in Game 4 of the ALCS against the Cleveland Guardians to tie the series up. Fans on social media think this could be an ‘all-timer’.
The Tampa Bay Rays roared back in a crucial Game 4 against the Cleveland Guardians to tie up the American League Championship Series. Despite conceding an early run in the first innings, the Rays went ahead by the sixth inning and never looked back, eventually winning 7-3.
Jonathan Aranda recorded three hits, driving in two runs and scoring twice, while Junior Caminero’s sixth-inning double put them in the driver’s seat. Nick Martinez allowed just one run over 5⅓ innings, and Yandy Diaz iced the game with a two-run home run in the ninth inning. It was an excellent display.
MLB fans think ALCS is going to seven games after Tampa Bay Rays’ Game 4 win
The NLCS proved to be quite boring this year, the Milwaukee Brewers ended up sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers with ease. While many MLB fans loved watching one of baseball’s most hated teams finally lose, no excitement compares to watching a close series between two great teams.
Tied at two apiece, it will now come down to the remaining three games between the Guardians and the Rays. The prospect of a Game 7 and the competitive nature of the matchup has led to fans hyping the ALCS up massively on social media.
“The Rays tie it up! This series is getting spicy,” one fan wrote. “Nice to see a competitive LCS. Must be nice when your team wants to be there,” read another comment. “This series is so going to Game 7, calling it now,” a third fan claimed in the replies.
All tied up in The ALCS! Great series so far! Could get even better,” a fourth fan said. “Game 5 will decide who will face Brewers in World Series,” a fifth fan predicted. “Troptober is not over baby, RAYS FANS get those tickets. We have our boys to cheer on,” a sixth fan wrote.
With the way the season and the series have both gone so far, predicting a winner is next to impossible. It seems that neutral baseball fans would simply be happy to witness a Game 7, though, no matter which teams wins or loses in the end.
