One of the biggest dance music festivals in Latin America returns to a Formula 1 track in February. Passes are on sale now, and prices rise in stages.
EDC Mexico 2027, the Mexico City edition of Electric Daisy Carnival, runs from Friday, 19 February 2027, to Sunday, 21 February 2027. The festival takes over the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the racetrack that also hosts the Mexico City Grand Prix.
For US fans, three-day passes start at US$218 plus fees through Frontgate, the festival’s seller for the United States and Canada. Americans need only a valid passport for a short visit, and Mexico City is one hour behind US Eastern time in February.
What Electric Daisy Carnival Is
Electric Daisy Carnival, known as EDC, is a festival brand best known in the United States for its Las Vegas edition. The Mexico City event uses the same stage names, such as kineticFIELD and circuitGROUNDS.
The official site for EDC Mexico 2027 carries the logo of Ocesa, Mexico’s largest live entertainment promoter, and its ticketing terms. The site promises extended hours for the 2027 edition but has not published them yet.
The festival announced the February 2027 dates in March 2026, unusually soon after the previous edition, Mexico City’s Excélsior newspaper reported. No lineup came with the dates, and passes are now on sale without a single act named.
The festival’s lineup page still shows the previous edition, which featured Zedd, Hardwell, Charlotte de Witte, John Summit and Alok. Those names give an idea of the scale, but none of them is confirmed for 2027.
Tickets and Prices
The festival’s ticket page lists three three-day passes in the current Early Owl phase. It shows prices in Mexican pesos for Ticketmaster and in US dollars for Frontgate buyers in the United States and Canada.
- General admission: US$218 through Frontgate, or MXN 3,680 (about US$200) through Ticketmaster
- GA+ Comfort Pass: US$265, or MXN 4,480 (about US$244)
- VIP Banamex Plus: US$435, or MXN 7,360 (about US$401)
Peso conversions use MXN 18.36 per US dollar, the open.er-api.com rate of 14 October 2026. Every price is shown before service fees, which the festival does not state in advance.
The GA+ pass adds a faster entry lane and air-conditioned private restrooms near the two main stages. The VIP pass adds express entry, viewing platforms, lounges, a concierge and preferential parking subject to availability.
The festival says prices go up by phase and that passes sell out. It tells fans to buy only through Ticketmaster, or Frontgate for US and Canadian buyers, and to avoid resellers.

The Venue and How to Get There
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez sits in the Magdalena Mixhuca sports complex in the east of Mexico City. The festival gives its address as Avenida Río Churubusco, Door 5, in the Granjas México district of Iztacalco.
The track lies a short drive from Mexico City International Airport, which handles most direct flights from US hubs. Metro Line 9 runs along the north side of the complex, with Ciudad Deportiva and Velódromo stations closest to the gates.
The festival says visitors may not stay in its parking areas, and there is no re-entry once a ticket is scanned. Plan meals, cash and phone charging before you go in, as you cannot step out and return.
Banned items include weapons and pepper spray, electronic cigarettes and vapes, glass, cans and outside food or drink. Bags larger than 30 by 30 centimetres, aerosols, perfume and professional cameras are also refused at the gate.
Tips for US and Foreign Visitors
US citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 180 days, the State Department says. A passport book valid on entry is enough, because a passport card cannot be used to board a flight.
Air travellers receive a digital entry permit, called the FMMD, at the airport, and officers decide the length of stay on arrival. Keep the passport stamp, or the receipt from an electronic gate, safe, as it records your entry date.
The State Department rates Mexico City at Level 2, Exercise Increased Caution, because of crime and terrorism. It places no extra travel limits on US government staff in the capital.
The department advises against hailing street taxis and recommends app-based rides or taxis booked through a hotel or official stand. It also warns that criminals sometimes drug drinks, so keep yours in sight and go out with friends.
The State Department also reports cases of illness from contaminated alcohol in Mexico. Buying drinks only from official festival bars and drinking in moderation lowers that risk.
The festival recommends that anyone under 16 attend with an adult. Buying or drinking alcohol and entering VIP areas require proof of age 18 or older with official ID.
Mexico City sits about 2,240 metres above sea level, which tires visitors faster on long dancing days. February is in the dry season, with warm afternoons and cold nights, so bring a light layer.
What It Means for You
For a US fan, EDC Mexico 2027 is a three-day pass from US$218 plus fees, a short flight from most American hubs. Buying early locks in the lowest phase price, but you will not know the lineup when you pay.
Expats in Mexico City can buy in pesos on Ticketmaster, where general admission costs about US$200 before fees. The Metro is the simplest way home, as tens of thousands leave the track together each night.
What Is Not Known
The festival has not announced any artist for EDC Mexico 2027, and its lineup page still shows the previous edition. Daily gate times, closing times and the SkyDeck table prices are also not public.
It is not confirmed when the next price phase begins or how many passes remain in the current one. The size of the service fees is not shown before checkout.
