Some questions, it seems, never get old. Filmmaker Karan Johar has once again asked Salman Khan the question that made headlines back in 2014: “You still a virgin?”.
The Bollywood superstar, who had famously claimed during the fourth season of Koffee With Karan that he was saving himself for marriage, has a quick response this time around.
“Control brother, control,” Salman tells Johar in a promo of the upcoming episode.
Karan shared snippets from the episode on Tuesday, with Salman gracing the Koffee Couch as the first celebrity guest on the final season of the celebrity chat show.
The episode will begin streaming on Wednesday on the Peacock Hub on JioHotstar.
Introducing Salman in the preview, Karan says, “A wise man once said, ‘It’s done bro’. So who better to kick off my final season than the man himself?”
The line refers to Salman’s viral social media post in July, in which the actor urged activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his fast during the NEET protests.
Salman, meanwhile, has a question of his own: is Karan really ending the show, or is the announcement simply a clever way to get celebrities to turn up for one last round of coffee and conversation?
“I promise you, I am not coming,” the host says, prompting Salman to respond, “Karan, tussi na jao”.
When Johar points out that Khan looks different and more composed, the actor jokes that it is time he followed the advice he has been handing out to others.

In a separate post last week, Karan reflected on the show's journey, recalling that he had discussed the idea with his producer father, Yash Johar, before his death in June 2004.
“The very first day I shot for it was August 16, 2004, and I’m here now. Eight seasons later, 22 years later, 161 episodes later. A lot happened. I called lovers, I called friends, I called families. I called lovers who then went on to become ex-lovers. Some of them even got married; I nearly put an end to careers of national icons. I'm living with the word ‘nepotism’ even today,” the filmmaker said.
Explaining his decision to call time on the show, Karan said, “I reached a point of time in my life where I've realised that all good things have to come to an end. With a kind of a heavy heart I have to say that this will be my very last season of Koffee With Karan.”
And if the opening episode is any indication, the farewell season is unlikely to run short of familiar faces, old jokes or questions that refuse to retire.
