Lionsgate stock has a bullish daily bias, but the hourly chart adds an overbought warning. The stock finished above its daily exponential averages and upper Bollinger band. That supports the bullish case without establishing a fully aligned daily trend.

Lionsgate Stock: Daily Evidence Favors the Bullish Case
The daily chart supports a bullish bias through price positioning above key exponential averages and positive momentum readings.
The daily close stands above the 20-session EMA at $11.18, the 50-session EMA at $11.52, and the 200-session EMA at $11.22. However, the 20-session average remains below both longer averages. Price positioning is therefore bullish, while the average ordering offers less complete trend confirmation.
Daily RSI14 rose to 64.3 from 35.94, placing it above 50 but below overbought territory. The daily MACD histogram turned positive at 0.06 from -0.03. The MACD line at -0.06 sits above its signal at -0.12, although both remain below zero. Together, these readings support the bullish daily bias with a qualification from the negative MACD line.
Notably, the $12.15 close is above the daily upper Bollinger band at $11.73, with the mid-band at $11.13. Price is outside the upper boundary rather than within the band envelope. Daily ATR14 increased to $0.5 from $0.37, indicating greater measured volatility than in the preceding daily reading.
Hourly Confirmation Comes with an Overbought Warning
The hourly chart confirms bullish price positioning but shows RSI14 at 78, in overbought territory.
The close is above the 20-hour EMA at $11.2, the 50-hour EMA at $11.08, and the 200-hour EMA at $11.16. Their ordering is not fully bullish, since the 50-hour average sits below the 200-hour average.
However, hourly RSI14 is 78, in overbought territory. The hourly MACD line at 0.26 is above its signal at 0.06. The histogram increased to 0.2 from 0.19. Positive MACD evidence therefore coexists with an overbought RSI. The close also sits just below the hourly upper Bollinger band at $12.16.
In contrast, the 15-minute chart supplies a more cautious timing signal. Its RSI14 is 67.35. Its MACD histogram is 0.
Still, the close is above the 15-minute 20-period EMA at $11.82, the 50-period EMA at $11.34, and the 200-period EMA at $11.1. Those averages are bullishly ordered beneath price. Short-term price positioning and the latest oscillator changes thus give mixed execution signals.
Next-Session Levels and Competing Scenarios
For the next session, Lionsgate stock faces a bullish setup above the daily pivot at $11.88, but must clear the hourly pivot at $12.19 to extend gains.
The hourly pivot is $12.19, with first resistance at $12.24 and first support at $12.11. These are reference levels for when trading resumes.
The bullish scenario requires price to hold the daily pivot at $11.88. Clearing the hourly pivot at $12.19 and hourly first resistance at $12.24 would strengthen that case. Above those levels, the session high at $12.88 precedes daily first resistance at $13.15.
Conversely, a break below hourly first support at $12.11 would put the daily pivot at $11.88 in focus. Losing that pivot would weaken the immediate bullish case. A break beneath the daily upper band at $11.73 and 50-session EMA at $11.52 would further undermine it.
Overall, Lionsgate stock stands above its daily pivot but below the hourly pivot for the next session. Daily ATR14 at $0.5 underscores the volatility backdrop. The unresolved issue is whether bullish daily positioning can hold while hourly RSI remains overbought and 15-minute signals are mixed.
