The Court of Appeal, like the District Court, believes that the pimping is to be assessed as a serious crime because it was "planned and organized over a long period of time with many sex buyers."
"The man has, through persuasion and manipulation on several occasions, made the woman do what he wanted. He has, through various actions, exploited her in a ruthless manner and for that he is convicted of gross procuring," says Agneta Ögren, President of the Court of Appeal and Chairman of the Court, in a press release.
The man, who previously held a high position within the Hells Angels, was arrested in October 2025, after being reported by his then-wife. The woman had fled her home one night and called 911.
Extensive sex trafficking
According to the investigation, the man used threats and violence to force his wife to sell sexual services to over 120 men over a period of approximately three years. The sex trade involved both physical encounters and internet contact, and according to the indictment, the man lived off the income.
In March, the man was charged and in June he was sentenced by the Ångermanland District Court to four years and five months in prison for aggravated procuring. He was also convicted of one count of attempted rape, two counts of assault, six counts of unlawful threats and a minor doping offense. In connection with this, the victim's wife spoke out and called the sentence "a mockery."
The Court of Appeal for Lower Norrland now confirms the verdict for aggravated procuring. As in the district court, he is also convicted of attempted rape, assault of the woman and another person, and unlawful threats.
Has denied the crime
The man has consistently denied all criminal charges. Instead, he has claimed that he helped his wife, who allegedly wanted to sell sex.
According to the indictment, he handled her online ads, booked clients and planned the sexual acts that would be performed. He also planned the price and payment, drove the woman to and from sex buyers and supervised meetings with clients.
The case also convicted 28 people for a total of 56 purchases of sexual services or sexual acts. Three of them appealed to the Court of Appeal, which now confirms one of the verdicts, increases the sentence for one of the men and acquits the third from liability.
