Transport operators say damaged roads and highway disruptions have complicated vehicle management. A road subsidence at Galaundi in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway on October 9, when advance ticket bookings opened, left many vehicles stranded in Kathmandu.
Meanwhile, 153,732 passengers have booked advance tickets for Dashain. The Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs has urged passengers to travel with tickets, pay prescribed fares and check vehicle conditions before departure.
