What are the benefits of preordering GTA 6?
All players who buy GTA 6 before Nov. 20 will get a bonus Vintage Vice City Pack, which Rockstar describes as "a collection of items that flash back to when the neon burned brightest." There's a yellow ’55 Vapid Stanier vehicle with its own garage; special outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, the game's two protagonists; and a palm tree weapon pattern.
Those who preorder digital copies will also get a free month of GTA+, a membership service that unlocks GTA Online bonuses and a library of older Rockstar titles. It normally costs $7.99 per month.
Is it better to buy GTA 6 on digital or physical?
You'll only get the free month of GTA+ if you preorder the digital version of GTA 6. Physical copies of the game just come with a download code in the case instead of an actual disc, so the biggest reason to buy that version instead is if you want to collect the box art.
When will GTA 6 preorders arrive?
Players who preorder a digital copy of GTA 6 will be able to preload the game on their consoles starting Nov. 12. All major retailers plan to ship physical copies, which will also arrive on Nov. 12 and can be preloaded ahead of launch day.
When is GTA 6 coming out?
GTA 6 is set for release on Thursday, Nov. 19. Don't forget to submit your PTO request.
Why was GTA 6 delayed?
The game was announced in December 2023 and was originally supposed to launch in late 2025, but Rockstar delayed it to May 2026 and then again to this fall. Both times, the company said more time was needed in order to deliver "the level of quality" and "polish" that players "expect and deserve." Hey, what's a couple more months after 13 years?
Is GTA 6 a multiplayer game?
Rockstar told IGN that GTA 6 will be "a single-player experience," but it seems likely that the game will eventually get a multiplayer mode given the massive success of GTA Online. (That's the multiplayer side of 2013's GTA 5, the most recent installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.) It could come in the form of a free update or a separate purchase; Rockstar added GTA Online to GTA 5 two weeks after its release, then made it available as a $20 standalone title in 2022.
Twitch CEO Dan Clancy told Bloomberg in September that he expects Rockstar to add multiplayer to GTA 6 next year, but Rockstar itself has yet to confirm that.
When is GTA 6 coming to PC?
GTA 6 is reportedly launching on PC in early 2027, according to the gaming business site GamesBeat.
