The influencer gained online attention because of her height and relationship with Zihao. Xiaoyue stood at 2.2 metres, while her boyfriend was 1.68 metres tall. Their 52-centimetre height difference became a distinctive feature of their videos. The couple had been together for around four years and shared clips about their daily lives.
Based mainly in Chongqing, China, both were social media content creators. Their accounts attracted tens of thousands of followers. In October 2025, Xiaoyue announced the birth of their son. Her final video on her personal account appeared on August 18. Its caption read, “Even when life is full of hardships, warmth still holds me up,” according to Yangtze News.
In July, Zihao revealed that Xiaoyue had several serious health conditions. These included pituitary gigantism, secondary diabetes, a pituitary tumour and a meningioma. Meningioma is a tumour that develops in the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Reports also mentioned extremely high blood sugar levels and kidney failure.

Zihao said he took Xiaoyue to the countryside to rest while they waited for her blood sugar levels to stabilise. They hoped she could undergo surgery afterwards. Speaking to Red Star News, he said he had not expected her illness to become fatal. He believed that controlling her blood sugar would allow her to proceed with the planned operation.
Zihao also addressed claims that the couple’s online videos were staged. He said many viewers had made such assumptions, while the couple struggled to respond to the accusations. Xiaoyue’s death has left their young son without his mother, as the family prepares to move forward following her loss.
