Nigeria’s U17 Women’s World Cup hopes are back on track after the Flamingos beat Puerto Rico 2-0 the odd goal after an opening day loss to Poland.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi put the Flamingos in front in the 25th minute, before she delivered the assist for Precious Oscar to double the lead in stoppage time for all three points on the night.
Adegbuyi was outstanding at the WAFU B U17 Girls Cup, which Nigeria won in style recently.
They now have three points from two matches and play their final group game Friday against leaders North Korea, who smashed past Poland 6-1 in the earlier game of this section.
