The Los Angeles Rams looked to protect their home turf as they hosted the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium on Monday.
The Rams were coming off a win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4, while the Bills were upset by the New England Patriots.
The game showcased a marquee matchup between Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen, the league’s last two MVPs. Two legendary quarterbacks also watched them closely: Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. They featured the contest on “Manningcast,” and the elder Manning had a suggestion for Los Angeles after the team got on the board with the four-yard link-up of Stafford and Davante Adams in the second quarter.

“It’s a two-man route, eight-man protection. Just don’t make it harder than it needs to be. They’re throwing it one-on-one on the outside, anyway. You don’t need tight ends running routes. We don’t need our (running) backs running routes. Just throw it to Davante (Adams),” said the five-time MVP.
“That’s good for your Fantasy team,” joked the younger Manning.
"Don't make it harder than it needs to be … just throw it to Davante."

The Rams could hike up their scoring, as they only average 21.3 points per game entering the game against the Bills. They, however, are No. 1 in the league in total yards with 417 per outing.
The Rams came into the season with a lot of hype following the addition of Myles Garrett and the comeback of Aaron Donald. They, however, have yet to find their footing. Still, Stafford stressed that they have the tools to make a run.
As of this writing, the Rams have a slim lead against the Bills in the third quarter. Stafford is 21-of-30 for 144 yards and one touchdown, while Adams has two receptions for 17 yards and one touchdown.
