Indiana football became inches away from keeping its 22-game winning streak alive. But wide receiver Nick Marsh struggled to stay in bounds on what would have been the winning touchdown over Ohio State. Now Michigan awaits with the desire to hand Curt Cignetti and IU and unprecedented two-game losing streak.
But the Hoosiers are gaining reinforcements for this showdown against the Wolverines.
Indiana will be gaining back a talented weapon who hasn’t played since week one, per On3 college football insider Pete Nakos and Indiana insider for the same outlet Alec Lasley on Wednesday.

“Khobie Martin is expected to return this week for Indiana’s game against Michigan. Has been out since the season opener,” Nakos shared on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.
Cignetti shared via Lasley that Martin originally “broke a couple bones in his forearm. And would be out until sometime ‘midseason.”
So midseason has now arrived for the Hoosiers. This final stretch becomes more crucial than ever, as the Big Ten Conference title race intensifies. Now Indiana’s loss to OSU swings a door open for the race to get to Indianapolis.
The Buckeyes catapulted back into the picture with the road win. This despite losing quarterback Julian Sayin during the victory to a season-ending shoulder injury. But UCLA rises as the conference’s only unbeaten left at 6-0, with its Oct. 10 road win over Oregon igniting Big Ten title chatter.
Indiana remains in strong shape to clinch both a spot for the Dec. 6 game at Indy, and make the College Football Playoff. Now Martin’s return can ignite both visions out in Bloomington.
