A murderer breaking out of jail on Coronation Street? Just in time for Halloween!
Watch out, Weatherfeld. Someone is coming for Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) on the spookiest night of the year, and the word on the Street is they’ve just bust out of the slammer.
It’s a classic horror film cliche. The victim safe at home alone, or so they think. Then they start getting creepy phone calls. But when they pick up nobody’s there.
They hear a noise from upstairs. Creeping and sneaking about.
Then, all of a sudden, there’s a terrifying masked intruder dressed like a ghost!
Well, get ready. Because that is literally what happens to Sally.
After Sally forbids Lucy (Anya Dewin) from attending her friend’s Halloween party when she learns there’ll be no adult supervision, she and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) twist her arm into attending the Rovers’ Halloween party with Joanie Michaelis (Savanna Pennington)
However, the mood is soured when Joanie reads an article about a riot in the prison where both her dad and Lucy’s are being held, while Sally and Tim play it down for the sake of Lucy, worried about her wellbeing.
As Tim, Joanie and Lucy head off to the party, Sally hears a noise outside…
…and sees a ghost at the window.
Telling neighbours Carla and Lisa Connor-Swain (Alison King and Vicky Myers) that she’s worried it might be Mick as he’s escaped before, Lisa reassures Sally.
Once alone, though, all hell breaks loose when the land line rings twice but no answer and Sally is left on edge.
A when a sudden power cut plunges the whole street into darkness, a ghostly figure appears behind Sally who grabs a vase and strikes them over the head.
Who is behind this?
