A total of 103 crude bombs were recovered from an abandoned sack in Rajshahi city early today (21 October), according to the Special Response Battalion (SRB).
An operational team from the battalion's CPSPC unit recovered the explosives around 2am from the eastern side of a litchi orchard in Aduburi Uparimath, under Kashiadanga Police Station, following a tip-off, according to a press release.
Of the bombs, 64 were wrapped in red cellophane tape and 39 in black tape. The explosives were seized in the presence of witnesses, the release said.
The recovered items were later handed over to the relevant police station through a general diary (GD) entry for legal action.
