Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare has expressed his desire to remain at Eredivisie giants Ajax beyond his current loan spell, DAILY POST reports.
The 24-year-old joined the Dutch club on loan from Sky Bet Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer and has made an impressive start to life at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Arokodare continued his fine form on Thursday night, scoring in Ajax’s 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the UEFA Europa Conference League. He also provided the assist for Abdellah Ouazane’s second goal.
The striker has recorded eight goals and three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions for Ajax this season.
Speaking to reporters after the victory over Atalanta, Arokodare indicated that he would welcome a permanent move to the Amsterdam-based club.
“It is between Ajax and Wolves. I like it here; I love it here. The people are amazing, the fans are amazing, the team is amazing, the club is amazing,” he said.
