Although it seems as if Claudia Winkleman's wardrobe in The Traitors favours the extravagant, if you look closer at each outfit, there are often plenty of wearable pieces ready to be styled for the everyday. Take episode five of The Celebrity Traitors as an example: yes, Winkleman might've layered up with a huge faux fur from last year's M&S x 16Arlington collection and a trapper hat, but underneath she wore a black shirt and balloon-leg trousers.
A similar sort of theme occurs once again in tonight's episode of The Celebrity Traitors, as Winkleman is seen embracing the fashion person go-to of a pop of red with Celine's Polo Sweater. Now sold out, the knit only acts as another example of why it's worth looking beyond Winkleman's more theatrical layers. Because while it might be the faux fur layers the internet sleuths go wild for, it's often the pieces underneath that are the most tempting to steal for your own wardrobe.
A far cry from some of the elaborate knits we've seen on previous seasons of The Traitors (that boucle Isabel Marant number still lives rent-free in my head), Celine's striped polo is a relatively simple piece (albeit with a designer price tag). Winkleman wears hers with cargo trousers and Miu Miu boots, while you could just as easily style your similarly striped polo with straight-leg jeans and ballet flats, or a mini skirt and boots.
And, it turns out that Winkleman is in excellent celebrity company with her choice in knit. Harry Styles has also worn Celine's round-neck iteration of the striped jumper, making a case for the style's unisex appeal, too. And, Although finding the exact Celine jumper in stock is another matter, there are plenty of similar styles worth shopping for, from classic crew necks to collared knits that capture something of the original.
