The Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) has announced registration for five professional diploma and certification programs in Karachi, with classes scheduled to begin in October and November 2026.
According to the institute’s official announcement, the courses cover Accounting, Finance and IFRS, Taxation, Human Resource Management, MS Excel and Power BI, and Healthcare and Lean Hospital Management.
PIM operates under the Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan. The institute is offering three- and four-month training programs, with weekday and weekend classes available depending on the course.
The first program will begin on October 22, 2026, while the remaining courses will start on October 25 and November 8.

Accounting, Finance and IFRS Course
The three-month Accounting, Finance and IFRS course will begin on October 22, 2026, with classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM.
The course will cover business models, financial statements, income measurement, accounting for merchandising activities, financial assets, and inventories.
Participants will also study financial statement analysis and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including selected International Accounting Standards (IAS).
Taxation – Income Tax and Sales Tax Course
PIM will start its four-month Taxation course on October 25, 2026. Classes will take place every Sunday from 3 PM to 8 PM.
The program will cover income tax and sales tax on goods and services, including taxpayer registration through the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) portals.
Other topics include taxable income calculations, tax payments, deductions, refunds, adjustments, exemptions, assessments, penalties, and appeals. The course will also include practical taxation problems and cases.
Certified MS Excel and Power BI Professional Program
The three-month Certified MS Excel and Power BI Professional Program will begin on October 25, 2026, with Sunday classes from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The program will cover Excel fundamentals, advanced formulas, PivotTables, dashboards, Power Pivot, Power Query, and macros.
Participants will also learn about Power BI Desktop, business modelling, What-If Analysis tools, and Excel reporting techniques.
Healthcare and Lean Hospital Management Course
The four-month Healthcare and Lean Hospital Management course will start on October 25, 2026. Classes will be held every Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The course will cover healthcare systems, hospital management, facility design, clinical services, and quality assurance.
Additional topics include medical informatics, procurement, inventory management, hospital staffing, employee training, and hospital waste management.
Human Resource Management Course
PIM will begin its four-month Human Resource Management course on November 8, 2026, with classes every Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The program will cover human resource management, recruitment, employee selection, job analysis, and staff training.
Participants will also study performance management, HR planning, compensation, workplace ethics, and global human resource management.
Eligibility Criteria for PIM Professional Courses
According to PIM, the programs are intended for professionals holding a bachelor’s degree. However, the institute has stated that the degree requirement may be waived in special cases.
