- Content creator Nyako publicly called out Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo after the politician allegedly walked past her without a greeting at a hospital
- Millie fired back on Facebook, revealing she had been at the hospital every single day for three days and had no idea who Nyako was
- The exchange quickly went viral, with Nyako doubling down in a fierce video clapback that even got Millie's name wrong
A hospital visit turned into a full-blown social media clash after popular content creator Nyako accused Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo of ignoring her during a recent hospital encounter in Kenya.
Nyako, who is currently in the country, took to TikTok to air her frustration, claiming the legislator walked past her without so much as a hello. In her clapback video, Nyako was visibly animated as she addressed the MP directly.
"Me, I don't bow to politicians. Yesterday you should have said hi to me. You should have asked me what I'm doing at the hospital. These are the MPs, representative of poor people. Milie Mabona ikufikie. Hiyo maringo yako usituletee kwa hospitali," Nyako said, notably getting Millie's name wrong throughout her rant.
Millie hits back on Facebook
The MP did not stay quiet. Millie Odhiambo took to Facebook to respond after the TikTok clip was brought to her attention, offering a measured but pointed reply.

"Kenyans are very interesting. Someone has sent me a TikTok video where 'Nyako' is complaining and calling me 'stupid' for not talking to her at the hospital. I do not know which day since I have been in hospital every single day for the last three days. My apologies that I passed a celeb without knowing. My bad!!!" she wrote.
The MP went further, gently pushing back on the assumption that public figures are always at their best in public spaces.
"I love the way everyone assumes we are super human. If I was in hospital, could I have been sick for instance?" Millie added.
She also lightened the mood with an anecdote about a recent restaurant outing with her grandchildren, recounting how one overheard strangers joking that public figures now travel with Gen Z companions for safety.
Her grandchildren, she said, marched straight up to the group and declared:
"Excuse me, we are GenZs but we have a right to walk with our grandma." Millie capped the story with her signature "TIBIM!!!!"
Why the clip is going viral
The drama has resonated widely online, partly because of the sheer energy of Nyako's delivery and partly because the exchange highlights how celebrities and politicians navigate each other in public spaces.
The clip, shared by the Udaku Vibes TikTok account quickly racked up attention.
Millie's composed but sharp response has drawn its own wave of commentary, with many Kenyans weighing in on whether Nyako's expectations of the MP were reasonable given the circumstances.
