KPop Demon Hunters is Netflix’s most-watched film ever, and its big single “Golden” has gone platinum. The animated phenomenon won two Oscars, a Grammy, two Critics Choice Awards, and two Golden Globes, with its song “Golden” winning the ceremonies’ Best Original Song category. With the movie’s massive success, the three singing voices of its characters, HUNTR/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, have stepped into the spotlight. They even performed “Golden” at the 2026 Academy Awards.
At the Critics Choice Awards on January 4, EJAE (the voice of Rumi) reflected on her journey, saying, “When writing the song, I found myself living vicariously through my character, Rumi. Her life and journey in the movie felt deeply familiar to me.” She added, “The song needed to be an expression of hope to convince herself that she could rise and reach for her dreams. In many ways, it did the same for me. But most importantly, for it to be giving hope to so many people around the world is truly the greatest honor.”
The musical stars have been lighting up the red carpet this award season, including the Grammys in February. Nuna and Ami wore white looks by Thom Browne and Guvanch respectively, and EJAE was in a purple gown by Dior.

They also stunned at the BAFTA Awards.
