Bermudian cricketer Cameron Jeffers is helping develop the next generation of African and Caribbean players in south-west England through his role as a development officer with the African Caribbean Engagement Programme [ACE].
ACE is a charity committed to increasing participation and representation in cricket at grassroots and elite levels, offering young players coaching, mentorship and opportunities to develop skills beyond the field.
Jeffers, a legspinner for Bristol West Indian Phoenix First XI, helps connect talented cricketers with the programme, which provides a winter training programme, specialist coaching and one-to-one mentoring through its academy.
The organisation also supports players in gaining work experience, developing professional skills and exploring career opportunities within cricket.
During the summer, ACE conducted a talent search across the south-west, identifying four players who completed trials and secured places as scholars on its academy programme.
