Kicker Blake Grupe shared a heartfelt message Monday after learning he suffered a torn ACL during his Los Angeles Rams debut and will miss the rest of the 2026 season.
Grupe took to X following the injury news, expressing his disappointment while vowing to attack his rehabilitation and return stronger.
"Not at all how I envisioned my time in LA," Grupe wrote. "The energy and excitement I felt going into this game was incredible. I couldn’t wait to step on that field and show what I could do.
"No choice other than to attack rehab and come back stronger and more prepared than ever. 💙💛
"I will continue to trust and follow His plan. Thank you to everyone that’s reached out. 🫡"

Grupe made his Rams debut Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals after signing with the team off the New York Jets' practice squad last week. He converted a 44-yard field goal but injured his knee while attempting to make a tackle on the ensuing kickoff.
He was unable to return to the game, forcing punter Ethan Evans to take over kicking duties.
The Rams placed Grupe on injured reserve Monday, and it was later confirmed he tore his ACL. With his season over, Los Angeles is searching for another kicker ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The team worked out veteran kickers Brandon McManus and Matt Prater as potential replacements, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
