Social media users claim Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah’s wedding doorgifts are being resold online for RM100 to RM350, with some suspecting possible scams.
AS Malaysians continue to celebrate the wedding of Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and singer-actress Bella Astillah, some social media users have claimed that the couple’s wedding doorgifts are being resold online for as much as RM350.
The claims emerged after social media users said they had come across listings on e-commerce platforms offering the newlyweds’ wedding souvenirs for sale.

A screenshot shared in a Threads post showed one listing priced at RM350, while another listing, shared in the comments section, offered the item for RM100.
The doorgifts were reportedly presented in large white boxes featuring a picture of Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah. Each box was said to contain a bottle of perfume and a notebook.
Some netizens suspected that the listings could be scams, while others criticised the alleged resale of the items, saying it was inappropriate to sell wedding keepsakes.
“They must be so desperate to the point that they are selling such things,” one user remarked.
“How could they? Someone gave them a doorgift as a keepsake, and they went and sold it. They must be really desperate for money. Maybe they really are a scammer after all,” another commented.
On Oct 18, Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah celebrated their wedding at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), in an event many Malaysians dubbed the wedding of the year.
The celebration was attended by about 3,000 guests, including political figures and local celebrities.
The festivities are set to continue, with the couple planning to welcome members of the public in Muar, Johor, on Oct 25 and in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, on Oct 31.
