Kathmandu, October 16
Government-owned Nepal Telecom (NTC) has launched a new 30 Mbps internet package for Rs 4,999 a year, effective from today.
The new package comes as private internet service providers have announced the discontinuation of affordable internet packages.
According to Nepal Telecom, the annual package is available to NT Fiber users under its Fiber to the Home programme and includes Wi-Fi 6 service.
The company has also announced annual packages offering 100 Mbps internet for Rs 11,499 and 150 Mbps for Rs 12,999. A 200 Mbps package is available for Rs 16,499 a year, NTC spokesperson Dr Kamal Lamichhane said.
Customers subscribing to the annual packages will also receive 800 MB to 1,000 MB of mobile data per day free of charge.
Nepal Telecom said customers subscribing to these packages would not have to pay the Rs 500 connection fee.
All the offers came into effect on October 16.
